Harvest Festival

It's day 245 of 2014. Where I live, the farmers are bringing in the crops, and the hedges are bursting with bramble fruits. The growing season is coming to an end, and now it's the harvest time.

245 days ago, I set out on a year of adventuring. Every day for the last 245 days, I have planted small seeds of adventure. Some seeds were sown consciously : I knew what would grow. Some seeds were sown unconsciously : I didn't have a real awareness of what I was sowing, why I was sowing those particular seeds, or how those seeds might grow.

So, now I'm beginning to pull in my harvest, and I've got something to tell you : the best crops have come from the seeds that were sown unconsciously, from the adventures that just "came out of nowhere", from the adventures that I could find no rational reason for doing. I just knew that I had to do them.

In the last 245 days, I've come to realise that all seeds know how to grow. I've come to realise that all seeds have a planting time and a reaping time. I've come to realise that everything we grow has value (even the weeds). Most importantly of all, I've come to realise that when you're connected to the rhythm of your own nature, you'll sow without even thinking about it. You'll trust your own planting (even when the seed packet doesn't have a label, even when you don't think that you have the right soil or the right climate) , and you'll know what to do with the harvest when it comes.

May you be blessed with a bountiful harvest! (Oh, and if you're already thinking about Winter and Spring crops, take a look below. Just so you know, the Everyday Adventure Starter Kit is formed from the material I used from my summer webinar series ~ so if you followed that series, you're probably already well on your way to becoming a fully-fledged Everyday Adventurer!)

I am just going outside and may be some time.
