Watching and discussing the Living the Questions series (I own the DVD’s and led a group study of it years ago)
Reading and discussing Stephen Hawking’s Grand Design — this is Barb’s suggestion and she’s really enjoying it.
Reading and discussing Carl Jung’s Answer to Job — similar to #3 in that it explores God’s role in human tragedy. I just ordered this based on recommendations from a friend, and I’m really excited to get into it.
Susan Fast will be sending out brief prayer care updates nearly every day.
If anyone would like a prayer or cheerful message included in that, they can email it to me at Sustfast@yahoo.com

This spring, the Children's and Youth Committees are having a flower sale to raise money for summer work trips for the youth of our church. There are several varieties of hanging baskets that we are selling, and we are buying them fromOliver Paine Greenhouses, which is located in Fulton, NY. Hanging basket orders and money are due on Friday, May 1, and they will be delivered to church for pick up on Wednesday, May 20. We will have a table set up in the Fellowship Hall during the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 29, as well as in the narthex beginning on Sunday, April 5. Come see us then, or preview the options here.

On-line auction – We need you!
Thanks and wanted: Hard assets, great skills and people who like to have fun! As you know, FCCI will hold its first on-line auction April 24, midnight to 11:59 p.m. (As an FYI, Cornell United Way recently held an on-line auction and raised $8K-plus in a few hours, thanks to lots of stuff on the e-block.)
Auction contribution : Lunch for 4 at Frank & Lorrie Phillips’ lake camp.
Thanks to all who have been early contributors to this fun event, with items including behind-the-scene tours at local landmarks, a night at the Cornell Club in NYC, including transportation for two on the Cornell campus-to-campus bus, special dinners, Spanish lessons, help with gardening and carpentry hockey tickets, an Auburn Doubledays baseball game with FCCI’s number one baseball fan David Kaden, golf outings, and two 45-minute lessons, piano or vocal, with Donna Bloom!
Want to make your bid to help raise funds for FCCI? We need you and your creative contributions soon!
March is Blanket Month! Will you make a generous donation to Church World Service Blankets? Blankets cost $10 each and are distributed across the globe to those affected by homelessness, natural disaster, war, environmental effects of climate change reminding families and individuals they are not alone. We can be our kindest and most Christ - like when we are connected.
