The Foote Lectures are will be held May 18th and 19th at 7:00 p.m. Supper will be at 6:00 p.m Jim Antal, the national spokesperson on climate change for the United Church of Christ, will be our speaker. The Adult Ed. Committee is encouraging a community read of Antal's latest book Climate Church, Climate World, prior to the Foote Lectures.

We're excited to participate in this year's IthacaFest parade on Thursday, May 30th from 6:00-8:00 pm. We have found an electric vehicle! Now, we need participants from FCCI willing to carry signs promoting climate action. We'll even have a few animal costumes if you would like to have some extra fun! On June 2nd, we'll hold an "OWL Teaser Session" on from 4:00-5:30 pm in rooms 10/11. Families with students currently in grades 6, 9, or 10 are invited to an informational and interactive session to sample Our Whole Lives, the comprehensive sexuality education program FCCI is offering in the 2019-2020 school year in partnership with the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca. Parents and children will be together in rooms 10 and 11 for this session. Child care for younger siblings is available in rooms 1 and 2. Snacks will be provided.
The FMSC Yard Sale
Will be on June 15th from 9-2 p.m. If you are spring cleaning and have furniture, housewares, children toys, and clean clothing please drop off Wednesday June 13th and 14 from 6-9 p.m. at LDS church at 114 Burleigh. All proceeds go to The Ithaca Mobile Pack.

Bible-side Chats (a.k.a Bible Study)
Bible study will meet again at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 in the parlor (where coffee is served). We read and interpret the week's lectionary texts as a group; we pray and we laugh together. Absolutely no prior knowledge of the Bible is required! Bring your lunch and we'll provide the Bibles. All are welcome!
