This Spring and Summer RT Offers Workshops Aimed at Writers Who Want to Unearth the Hidden Opportunities of a Post-Pandemic World

Join a community of writers gathering together to improve their work and expand their ideas of what's possible. June-November, 2021.

Every year Roland Tec assembles an online circle of up to 10 playwrights, librettists and screenwriters who help one another improve specific pieces of work while continuing their growth as writers.

Every month (June-November) RTOWW provides the following support for your work.

  • Two 2.5 hour private sessions each month held on Tuesday evenings and limited exclusively to invited workshop members.

  • One 3 hour public reading and talkback session each month to put your latest scripts into the hands of professional actors and into the sights of the community at large.

RTOWW is best suited to the seasoned writer with a lot of work to get done and a need for a community of peers able to offer practical actionable feedback as can only be provided writer-to-writer.

RTOWW offers a long term, steady structure to support great productivity during this crucial post-vaccination period of transition. You'll be joined by up to 9 other professional scrip writers who understand the nuts and bolts of communicating story and character on stage or on screen.

The bond between playwright and theatre audiences is one of the strongest around.

Don't squander it.

Because theatre presents audiences with portrayals of human beings doing what we do: struggling with the messy business of living, your characters have the potential to stay with us, tethered to our hearts and minds til the day we die. Not many artists can even dream of such staying power. So what are you going to do with this superpower? As with all superpowers, this one comes with a mighty responsibility.

The audiences that loved your work before Pandemic Pause are ready to love you and your shows all over again.

Please complete a 2 min. questionnaire on how you are connecting your work with your audience during Pandemic Pause.

Only Connect: Complete Roland's 2min. Surveuy
Roland gets on another soapbox. You, your talent and your audience.

People who write scripts need to hear and to feel and to be with audiences.

Audience attention during performance -- how they hear, feel, respond to and fall in love with the work -- is like oxygen to scriptwriters. It's how you know you're onto something.

Prioritize keeping an eye and an ear out and your work will shine.

Getting up and out from behind your writing desk might possibly be more important today than it's ever been before.
