EBAN releases Landmark Study on Measuring the Economic Impact of Angel Investments

EBAN, in collaboration with Lourdes Moreno from Deusto University and its associated angel network Crecer+, presented the output of the latest reasearch on angel investments' economic impact.

The research collected the impact of investment in 1661 businesses from 37 countries in Europe and concluded the following:

» Angel investment more than triples the number of jobs in the company over a 4-years period;
» Revenues generated grow on average 150%;
» Company assets increase by 157%;
» Companies in the ICT sector generate a positive EBITDA by the end of the 4-years period.

Launch of the Future Internet Business project

Connecting Future Internet Businesses With Early Stage Investors

EBAN is implementing from July 2014 the Future Internet Business project under the context of the Future Internet Public Private Partnership (FI-PPP). The FI Business will provide a standardised set of tailored services for developers, web-entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs building applications and services on top of Future Internet technologies helping them to settle their business and enhance growth

The FI Business starts in the dawn of the 3rd phase of the FI-PPP to provide adequate business development, acceleration and investment support to all internet-innovation driven European SMEs. EBAN will play a critical role in this project, notably in the implementation of the Growth Track where coaching and investment forums will give SMEs the required preparation and access to early stage investors.

EBAN names Dr. Jean-Noel Durvy as Senior Counselor, Special Projects

Dr. Jean-Noel Durvy will assume the newly created post of Senior Counselor, Special Projects in EBAN. Durvy is a specialist in innovation and European policies and will help EBAN with its goal of funding and helping grow European Start-Up Success Stories.
