Leap Ahead Europe!!

Dear Global Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Investor Community,

When than on 29 February can we all urge Europe to leap ahead and join the global ranks of entrepreneurial and innovative economies and societies !

Europe took its rightful place this last week as a leader on the global stage at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, playing host to the world's largest and most impactful companies, entrepreneurs and innovators.  It was EBAN's particular pleasure to cooperate with the European Commission, Telefonica, Wayra, and 4YFN as well as our wonderful Spanish members, BANC, IESE, and ESADE on a Horizon 2020 Investment Forum bringing young wtart-ups from around Europe in contact with high-level investors during the MWC.

Elsewhere in Istanbul, the World Business Angel Investment Forum was in full swing with important agreements being signed between all sectors of the global economy and society to bring about venture finance for our global entrepreneurs and innovators.  Get the full report below!

One of the highlights of the World Business Angel Investment Forum was ringing the bell at Turkey's Stock Exchange, Borsa Istanbul.  This last week's announcement about the revived attempts of a cooperation between the London Stock Exchange and the Deutsche Börse is exciting indeed and bodes well for the Capital Market's Union.

We at EBAN were particularly pleased to sign our cooperation agreement with Start Up Europe and Mind the Bridge to do away with "The Missing Link" between corporations and start-ups.  This has been an important part of our platform and it was thrilling to announce this cooperation at the Mobile World Congress with our partners, 4YFN.  Now, we have to make this cooperation bear fruit with transformational deals.

We are already scaling up our efforts for our EBAN Annual Congress in Porto 25 - 27 May when "Scale Up for Europe" will bring corporations, investors, policy makers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world.

I wish all of you greatest luck and fortune as you leap ahead in your personal and professional endeavors !  May 2016 be the great Leap Year!

With kindest regards,

Candace Johnson

One of our Belgian members, Korea Research & Innovation Centre (KIC-Europe) is recruiting industry experts interested in a long-term mentorship with Korean early stage ventures looking for expansion to Europe. We are mostly interested in the profile of early-stage investors and accelerator managers, as more importantly we expect these mentors to introduce our companies to investors, potential customers and strategic partners. The mentor role will be remunerated on a flat-fee basis (i.e. 6 h commitment per month) in return for providing help mostly via online session. See here for more information!
