EBAN Helsinki 2014 Sets New Horizons!
More than 350 key players and makers in the early-stage investment innovation and entrepreneurial eco-system came from more than 40 countries around the world to promote, celebrate, discuss, explore and expand horizons.
Against the background of SLUSH, EBAN's Winter University was the platform for top keynote speakers from Finland's Ministers of Defense (Carl Haglund) and Economy (Jan Vapaavuori), the Chairman of Nokia (Risto Siilasmaa), the Business Angel of the Year 2013 (Jari Ovaskainen), and countless leaders and makers and doers. EBAN Helsinki 2014
saw the inauguration of ABAN, the African Business Angel Network and the first-ever 10 country cross-border angel investment
in the winner of SLUSH (Enbrite.ly

We kicked off the Business Angels Week and the Global Business Angels Day on center stage on the first day of the event and have surpassed all previous records with almost double the participation
mightily helped by our colleagues in the Middle East and Africa who joined us for the first time in the BAW organization.
Stock Exchanges and Crowd Funding Platforms were most welcome partners at our EBAN Helsinki Winter University where we also welcomed EBAN's co-founder and BAND (D) Founding President Peter Jungen.
It was with great emotion that we recognized GUST Founder David Rose for his commitment to the proliferation and development of Angel Network around the world at the Awards Gala as well as EBAN's Vice President Ari Korhonen as Finnish Business Angel of the Year
