Message from EBAN President

Dear Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Early Stage Investment Community,

It is with great joy that I write this first EBAN Flash Message as EBAN President.

Over the summer, the Members of the Board of EBAN and the EBAN President Emeritus Council, and new colleagues in the Middle East and Africa have worked together with our membership and stakeholders to define the Five Point Plant below to realise our goal of creating one of the most vibrant, dynamic, impactful and integral eco-systems in the world for value and job creation and long-term sustainability:

1. Create and Celebrate European Success Stories.
2. Create an 'E-Zone' or EU 29th Country for Entrepreneurs, Innovation and Early Stage Investment.
3. Inspire and enable Corporations in Europe to reach out and buy more services and products from Europe’s start-ups and scale-ups.
4. Professionalize Investment and Entrepreneurial Activity.
5. Gather original source Data and Perform Research to inform Public Sector Policies.

EBAN Kicks-Off the FI Business Project

Future Internet Business is a support programme of FI-WARE Accelerator, an initiative launched by European Commission for the purpose of dramatically increasing Europe’s Information and Communication Technology competitiveness. The aim of the FI-Business project is to support FI-WARE startups and companies with services such as bootcamps, webinars, e-pitches and similar to complement the existing accelerators’ programmes.
EBAN will play an important role in implementing certain services in the FI-Business project together with our partners (Bwcon, Eurescom, Media Deals, Metavallon and New Factory).

LATBAN, Latvia [Business Angel Network]
is a newly formed network organising and expanding the activity of business angels in Latvia, supporting and funding promising new ventures.

Angels Den DACH, Germany [Business Angel Network] is set to become the major agent for change in startup early stage financing in Germany, offering pitching to Angels on a one-to-one basis through its unique and exciting SpeedFunding events.

Zagreb Entrepreneurship Incubator, Croatia [Business Accelerator] is the first start-up incubator in its country, aiming to support the entrepreneurs of Southeastern Europe to build their companies.

UAngel, Ukraine [Business Angel Network] is a newly launched Ukrainian Business Angels Network that aims at developing the local ecosystem and becoming the bridge between seed and round A investments in the Ukrainian Market.

Crane, Croatia [Business Angel Network] brings together business angels from Croatia and abroad interested in investing in innovative projects, with a track record of 13 projects and over 1M€ funded in the last year.

Europe4Startups, Luxembourg [Business Accelerator] is created to help promising eBusiness and multimedia companies to start up or boost their ventures in Europe, by providing 12 months of premium services for free. They are also partnering Luxembourg's first Founders in a Castle on 17th October.
