SHC Action Alert!
For Oakville and Milton Humane Society
Find out how you can help!
Oakville and Milton Humane Society is temporarily closed due to a ringworm outbreak. Three cats currently residing at the shelter have contracted ringworm and 2 more that were adopted are being treated in their adoptive homes. The infection was discovered on September 9th. The Shelter has been closed temporarily until the outbreak is under control and treated; as ringworm is highly contagious. No date has been set for re-open as of yet.

How to Help:
If you are interested in helping the Shelter at this time there are a few items that are needed. Monetary donations are also always very helpful.
Towels, newspapers, blankets and cardboard box bottoms for litter boxes are most needed right now. Please email email@example.com or call 905-845-1551 if you would like to make a donation!
Action alerts are sent out when I find out about an emergency that has occurred at any animal organization in Ontario, whether they are participating with SHC or not. If you know of an emergency that you think requires an action alert please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get on it as soon as possible! Please feel free to offer help to organizations facing situations like this, they can always use support! I also encourage you to share these alerts with friends!
Thanks! Kimberley Richards Project Director and Founder of SHC
