YOU are the real transformer.

Transformation happens at high levels of an UpSpiral of Positivity. That’s when we are most creative, most open to new ideas, and most in touch with and using our strengths to create. We are only transformative in a sustained UpSpiral.

There is a genius in everyone if you identify your strengths and if you will maintain a positive to negative ratio of at least 3:1 and go after the results that you want to see in your life.

TRANSFORMATION happens when you learn to live your life at a higher ratio than 3:1, positive to negative. This means that you will create your life first to flourish and thrive at a 3:1 ratio of positive to negative. Then you go further and decide to live at 4:1 or a 5:1 ratio of making your day 5 times as positive as it is negative. Think about it. Your goal is to LIVE YOUR DAY 5 TIMES AS POSITIVE AS IT IS NEGATIVE. That unleashes the genius in you and you begin to discover the zone of the “super you”. You dream of it. Why not do it?

Find your good and increase it by putting your energy there. Spend as little time as possible correcting weaknesses. They'll self-correct as you increase your good.

Many people spend most of their time going up and down from a little of an UpSpiral to more and more DownSpiraling, until they have little hope and become satisfied with the status quo. Then the rest of life is spent wringing small amounts of pleasure out of the same old, same old thoughts and behaviors. It’s like having 800 stations on cable television and not really being interested in any of them. Or it’s like living your life through the players on Monday night football because you can’t play your own game yourself. You're satisfied with that-- or does the booze just make it tolerable while you convince yourself you’re having a really great time?

Transformation happens when we are intensely “in our own skin,"  living our own unique journey for the results we want in our lives.

From their success at it, those who have learned and practiced our work in NeuroPositivity know that there really is something to this business of remaining in and sustaining an UpSpiral. The ability to differentiate between UpSpiral living and DownSpiral living gradually became clearer and clearer. In some cases they changed friends and surroundings, and they certainly became clearer about what they watched, listened to, and engaged in. They became much more selective about what they wanted to feed their brain. Their "brain food" came under scrutiny.

They moved from things that were unnecessarily negative, melancholy, and victim-supporting, to the things that fed a positive mind with new images, ideas, experiences, and even music. Just naturally, they began to move away from things that were not UpSpiral things for the Mind and the brain. They had long suspected that they were not doing themselves much good, but they were convinced that they had to stay “informed” until they realized that the endless loop of negative news just wasn’t informing them. It was conditioning them to believe that it represented our world.

It may even be a little hard to believe that everyone doesn’t just “get” living in an UpSpiral. It seems to be such good common sense, even though you know better than that. Isn’t it incredible that at this point, all of your life has been spent at least somewhere in the UpSpiral and little or none in the DownSpiral? We wish it for everyone. We want it for those we love, and we’re even willing to do what it takes to help others to have the experience, or rather their experience, of what this journey is like.

Wanting to give it away is a natural experience. Wanting to influence others to make the journey is in our blood. We just want to give away good things and share them with others.

Positivity being is ready to fill a vacuum of emptiness or loneliness. Do the work, and the “work will work for you.”

Neuroscience can’t yet measure or identify what it is that makes you breathe or makes you think or reason. We cannot identify the “Thing” that is behind it all, but we sure know when it stops. We can identify the part of the brain that’s at work and even increase its effectiveness, but we can’t identify where the “essence” or substance of the life force that makes it work comes from.

12 Steps to Joy

Join an UpSpiraLife Group!

An Up Spiral Life group is a positive 12 step group. Based on the "New 12 Steps of Positivity," created by Dr. William K. Larkin, these groups are not designed for addiction treatment, but rather for growing and deepening what we call "positivity being." This is more than simple "positive thinking" or positive emotions, but includes them.

Positivity being is a way of life that is dedicated to growing an UpSpiral of "feeling good," enabling individuals to experience a sustained sense of well-being and happiness. You can have a happier and more flourishing life! 

The group meets once a week for one hour, and follows a prescribed format which includes a short presentation by the facilitator and shared reading. Members of the group then share where they are in their own UpSpiral and how they have used the positivity tools they are learning in living their everyday lives.

There is no charge to join! All UpSpiral Groups are lead by ANI trained facilitators who create a safe, secure environment where you can learn and practice the tools of growing a more positive mind. Several groups meet on our secure telephone bridgeline.
