Catalogue 16.

I'm pleased to announce our latest catalogue (#16), featuring 97 items on the theme of counterculture(s). Highlights include:

  • A previously unknown ca. 1956 original draft carbon typescript of Allen Ginsberg's "Howl," almost certainly the last in private hands, and the only ever offered separately  for sale.
  • Ginsberg's rare second book SIESTA IN XBALBA, as well as a pair of biographies of the poet inscribed to his lifelong friend Lucien Carr.
  • Timothy Leary's scarce first book.
  • One of the earliest scale models created in the development of the NASA's Lunar Excursion Module.
  • The first published appearance of David Wojnarowicz's iconic UNTITLED [Falling Buffalos].
  • Several rare items from Angus Maclise.
  • Plus our usual assortment of artists' books, punk, mimeo, zines, Beat, and other countercultural materials.

Finally, I'm excited to also announce that I'll be joining the faculty at Rare Book School this July in Charlottesville to offer "Identifying and Understanding 20th Century Duplicating Processes." Applications open in January.
