@ the NY Antiquarian Book Fair
There's snow in New York City, but our boxes are packed and we're leaving soon for this weekend's 59th annual New York Antiquarian Book Fair, our tenth time exhibiting at this premier event. Some highlights of what we'll be bringing:
  • Allen Ginsberg's second book, SIESTA IN XBALBA, printed by the poet onboard a Merchant Marine ship in the Arctic.
  • Promotional postcard for the landmark 1973 United Graffiti Artists  exhibition, the first commercial graffiti show.
  • Two variant copies of Joseph Cornell's rare artist's book THE BEL CANTO PET.
  • A photo album of an early 1970s Oakland Hell's Angel, as well as several other interesting and important motorcycling items.
  • A hand-drawn original animation still from A-Ha's iconic video for their song "Take on Me" (yes really).
  • Henry Rollins' scarce first book "20," with illustrations by Raymond Pettibon.
In addition, we'll be bringing a large selection of great vintage pulp and sleaze, as well as our usual assortment of artists' publications (Andy Warhol dust-jackets, anyone?), zines (including a complete run of the important DC-based INFILTRATOR), poetry, mimeos (the first issue of Ed Sander's catalogue, issued by his FU Press), punk (a rare signed copy of the first punk novel), outsider books, primary materials (including an archive of RHUBARB: the Zine of 'Radical Humor'), plus much more. You can find us in Booth B-33 (by the bar!), as always with our friends from Lux Mentis. We still have a few passes to the show available. Email to request.

ps: Saturday at 3:15 in the Historic Colonel's Room at the Armory, I'll be speaking as part of the panel The Vernacular Obsession: the Pursuit and Use of Archives and Manuscripts. Hope to see you there.
