Vote now and help Grassroots secure vital funding

We are really excited to announce that Grassroots Suicide Prevention is in with a chance of winning a grant of up to £25,000 from the Aviva Community Fund, but we need your help to secure it!

The grant would help fund our innovative, award-winning suicide prevention app, Stay Alive, helping us keep the app relevant, engaging and easy to navigate. After consulting our users and seeking feedback from various sources we are ready to make vital changes to the app, to help keep more people safe from suicide.
The grants will be decided by a public vote which you can reach here. Each person gets 10 votes to use across the range of submissions. The top voted finalists will then be put to the judges, with a decision being announced in mid-January 2017.
We need you not only to vote but to share this with friends, family and colleagues so we can secure as many votes as possible.  Voting will end at midday, 18th November 2016, so please keep sharing far and wide until then!
Please don’t forget to vote and share, and thank you for your continued support of Grassroots Suicide Prevention.

Instagram adds new suicide prevention tool to help it's users find help when in crisis.

Instagram rolled out a new tool this week which will make the social media platform a safer place - and could help save some lives.

If you report a post that worries you, your friend will get a message saying, “someone saw one of your posts and thinks you might be going through a difficult time. If you need support, we’d like to help.” They’ll then get the option to contact a helpline, receive tips or talk to a friend.

“We understand friends and family often want to offer support but don’t know how to reach out. These tools are designed to let you know that you are surrounded by a community that cares about you, at a moment when you might most need that reminder.” Instagram COO Marne Levine

Please download the latest Instagram update to start using this life-saving tool.
