Dear Parish Family,
January 8, 2021
Thank you for your prayers for Fr. Matt. We want to share that Fr. Matt received notice on January 4th that he tested positive for Covid-19. We believe it is because of your prayers that Fr. Matt has a mild case of the virus; he has been self-isolating since the onset of his symptoms on December 29th.

Fr. Matt only celebrated one Mass the weekend prior to feeling ill, which was Sunday, December 27th at 10:30 AM. On that Sunday when Fr. Matt distributed Communion he used hand sanitizer before, and a mask and face shield during distribution, in addition to maintaining 6 foot distancing. We have been using very strict safety and cleaning protocols to prevent the spread of the virus and no one else who took part in the Mass (deacon, musicians, etc.) has taken ill since that time. Mass attendees were emailed about this on Monday.
Because of all the safety and sanitizing procedures and protocols we use, the Diocese has given us the go ahead to continue to have Mass. We will be inviting a visiting priest to celebrate Mass this upcoming weekend.

Please continue to pray for Fr. Matt as he prays for you. It seems that he is feeling a little better every day and will in all likelihood be back at the church office next Tuesday pending his doctor’s approval. Unless anything changes, there will be no further updates regarding his condition. We thank you again for your prayers and concerns. God bless you!

March for Life Chicago
Go on the March for Life Chicago...Caravan style!
Every year in January, there is a March for Life in Washington D. C. recalling the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and in recent years, a March for Life Chicago, which the parish has supported with a bus to the event. This year, the March for Life Chicago is doing a caravan tour and stopping in Chicago on January 23

Drive to the rally displaying your pro-life banners and bring diapers to donate to their massive diaper drive for local pregnancy resource centers. Park your car at the rally to hear inspiring speakers and then process through the public downtown, all from your car!

CMAA
Shine the Light of Christ - CMAA
All parishioners will be receiving a mailing soon from the Diocese of Joliet about the 2021 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal (CMAA). The Diocese appeal is vitally important as it supports 30 ministries that benefit all parishes. This year’s theme is Shine the Light of Christ; please take some time and review the materials and prayerfully reflect on your contribution to this year’s CMAA. Thank you.
Online Giving
Online Giving is an easy, consistent way to donate to our parish. It eliminates writing checks and the need to use the church envelope system. This "touchless" form of giving is convenient for the donor and very useful to the parish because income is received consistently. If parishioners are unable to join us for mass, the offerings received through Online Giving are very helpful in continuing to support our vision, meeting payroll, and paying our bills. To donate, please sign-in or register on our website here.
