Cyclovia Tucson is a program of Living Streets Alliance.
The mission of Living Streets Alliance is to promote healthy communities by empowering people to transform our streets into vibrant places for walking, bicycling, socializing, and play.

Thank you to all 25,000 who joined us for Cyclovia in April, 2013!

Our official counts are in!

Yesterday, 15,000 people danced, skated, shimmied, and played in the streets all along the new midtown Cyclovia route - the most ever to attend what has become the biggest block party in Arizona, right here in Tucson!

After the April 7th event, this brings our total attendance for the year to 25,000 people!

We're all a little tired, a little sunburned but a lot closer to thousands of people we never knew before who joined in to celebrate our wonderful and unique community - on the streets of Tucson and Pima County!

Some highlights...

  • Did you play the street piano?
  • Or get your picture taken with a Storm Trooper?
  • Did you cool off in a sprinkler provided by a friendly neighbor?
  • Or catch a glimpse of E.T. on a bike?
With more than 120 activities, it was hard to see everything. You can check out a growing online library of images by Kathleen Dreier here. Special thanks to Mandia Gonzales and the Damion Alexander Team for the photos in this email. You can see more of Damion's photos here.
Yesterday's BIG question?

It takes a tremendous amount of time and resources to put on Cyclovia and we couldn't do it with out the support of over 200 volunteers, partnering organizations and our sponsors.

We know you want more Cyclovia events; we need every supporter to give now to make it happen. Give $20, $50, or $100 now -- or even just $10 -- less than the cost of a movie ticket.

The sooner we raise the money, the sooner we can host the next Cyclovia in a neighborhood near YOU!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our 2013 Cyclovia Tucson Sponsors including. The next time you stop in at one of these businesses or organizations - be sure to tell them how much you appreciate their support for Cyclovia Tucson!
