Hackin' at ya, Art Updates, VA photo story, Estate & House Sale!
I’m only going to share a couple of quick updates this month. I’ve had my annual dreaded cough off and on for the last 6 weeks. It’s really been dragging me down, but I feel like I am finally turning the corner back to feeling human again. No one will be happier than my poor long suffering husband. He’s lost as much sleep as I have. *Love you, honey. Despite the hack-hack-hack it’s been a month full of good news. I was contacted by Iron Horse Hotel to be the featured artist for Spring Gallery Night, on the weekend of April 20th. It really felt great to have the venue contact me for an exhibit. Also, my Beastie Zoofari design was approved so I’ll be heading to the ‘Beastie Barn’ to start work on the next month. Stay tuned for photos of work in progress.
The VA exhibit at the War Memorial was a SMASH. Check out this marvelous article about the guys, the program and terrific photos of the participants and their work. VA Photo Program Brings Healing to MKE Veterans. And here is the promised slideshow I created featuring photos we took and the guys in action. VA Fall Photo Class 2017. My photo gig for Chef Ana’s Valentine’s Dinner was super fun – and delicious. See the yummy photos. Relics Vintage Rental is an outstanding place packed full of the most elegant furniture and accessories to make your photo shoot, party or event a 'to die for' occasion. Neat people work there, too.
Feb 24th is the last day of our Estate Sale / Memorial Emporium. Super deals and drastic discounts await you at 6720 W Bluemound Ave. Wauwatosa, WI 53213 from 9-4pm. The first three days of the sale made a big dent in the stuff. But there was such a huge volume of STUFF (plus we keep finding more to add) that we had to come back for one more day. It's last minute notice, but I hope you can make it and tell your friends! You will still find a mess of TOOLS, crafty items, dishes, household stuff, paint supplies, nuts and bolts, books, records, a wrought iron patio set and a cute red wagon! Great finds for artists, teachers and home improvement nuts. How can you resist?
The other exciting news is that the folks house has been sold! The mother of the new neighbors, a young couple with a 2 little babies, wanted to be close to her grand kids - so she made an offer we couldn’t refuse. Winning for all involved. We wish Jane many years of happiness in the house we all loved. And better yet, she is becoming a friend though the process. This makes my heart very happy.
