SUPRA is fighting hard for HDR parental leave provisions!

SUPRA is fighting to increase non-primary carer parental leave provisions for HDR stipend holders. The current provision is only 5 working days, and we want to see this increase to 60 working days. We have drafted a discussion paper on increasing this provision, presented and defended at the Research Education Committee (REC). The University has indicated that they are willing to significantly increase the provision, and we are continuing to have discussions with the University about how to move forward with this important change.

We will keep you updated!

Difficult conversations with your supervisor

Academic relationships can at times be complex. At some point in your candidature your relationship with a supervisor may deteriorate, or your working styles may suddenly not seem compatible.

When is the right time to raise your concerns? And how should you raise them?

Fun Fact

There is an Aboriginal fireplace at Wolli Creek that's around 10 500 years old. That means it's older than Botany Bay - which only became a bay when the last ice age ended, and the oceans finished rising, around 7000 years ago.
