Introducing SUPRA's new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Officer

My name is Lindsay, and I am so excited to have been elected as SUPRA's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Officer! I am a palawa luna, a proud Aboriginal woman whose family comes from southeast lutruwita/Tasmania, but I grew up here on Darug Country.
I will be holding monthly Zoom meetings for the SUPRA Indigenous Postgraduate Student Network on the first Wednesday of every month at 12pm (midday). Please keep an eye out for the link, which will be sent out via the Gadigal Centre team. The network is for all Indigenous postgraduate students at Usyd, whether you are undertaking a coursework or research degree.
Please get in touch with me at if there is anything I can help with, or if you just want to yarn!

Open letter to demand COVID-adjusted Weighted Average Mark

SUPRA and the SRC (Students’ Representative Council) have drafted an open letter to the University to demand a COVID-adjusted Weighted Average Mark (WAM) and academic empathy for students studying during the pandemic.
Don't let our futures be affected by Delta! Sign the open letter to the University.

What do you think of the Uni's VPN?

SUPRA and the SRC have jointly designed a survey to collect student feedback on your experience of the University’s VPN. The feedback will be presented to relevant University Committees, and we will seek improvements to the VPN.
Complete the survey.

Offshore students can participate in the National Student Safety survey

The National Student Safety Survey 2021 is still going.

The survey runs from 6 September to 3 October 2021, and has been sent to a random sample of 10 000 Usyd students.

If you didn’t receive an invitation to complete the survey, you can still contribute to the qualitative study to anonymously share your experiences of sexual assault and/or sexual harassment.
The survey can be completed by all students, including those who are currently living offshore.
Fun Fact

Do you find the idea of ‘introvert’ and ‘extrovert’ personalities a bit too simplistic to describe you? That’s because they are! Even those who believe in these definitions usually posit them on a continuum, with ‘ambivert’ being in the middle – describing someone who displays both characteristics at various times, rather than being one extreme or the other.
