You are warmly invited to our Open Day and the celebration of our City & Guilds Basketry and Printmaking students’ achievements. This will be a lovely opportunity to see some of the fabulous pieces that they have created, to meet the course tutors and to chat to the students who have completed their courses this year.

There will also be a sale of donated craft items to launch our new bursary fund.  We are very keen that Westhope College should remain accessible to anyone who would enjoy a workshop in these beautiful, creative, peaceful surroundings and we hope that this fund will help us to achieve that. Thank you so much to those of you who have donated items for sale.

There will be demonstrations of basketry, an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful wildflower meadow and gardens of Anne Dyer (founder of Westhope College) and a sale of produce in the walled garden.  There will be cake!

We look forward to seeing you on Friday.

Alison and the Westhope Team
We are aware of a potential road closure on Friday (between 10am and 4pm) that might affect your journey to Westhope if you are travelling on the B4368 from Craven Arms, Ludlow or the direction of Bridgnorth.  The lane may well be closed to the south of Westhope at the junction with the B4368 (Corvedale Road).  In that case, access will be via Dinchope or via Halford if you are travelling via Craven Arms (please be aware that this will be along narrow lanes).  Your journey will not be affected if you are travelling from Church Stretton via Hope Bowdler and Ticklerton.   Anyone travelling from the direction of Shrewsbury, Church Stretton or Much Wenlock might wish to consider using this route to avoid any diversion.
