The Carousel wins a Fringe First!
All of us at Stellar Quines are delighted to announce that our production of The Carousel by Jennifer Tremblay, translated by Shelley Tepperman has won a Fringe First.
Nothing can stop the carousel. An emotional journey through a labyrinth of memories begins as a woman drives to her dying mother's bedside. A poignant sequel to The List - a Fringe sell-out in 2012 and 2013 and winner of a Scotsman Fringe First, a Herald Angel and the CATS (Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland) Award for Best Production 2013.
Maureen Beattie returns as the woman searching her past and discovering hidden truths that force emotions to surface. This production has been created by the same winning creative team that produced The List including director Muriel Romanes, lighting designer Jeanine Byrne and music and sound designer Philip Pinsky. John Byrne also returns as set and costume designer for The Carousel, working with Edinburgh based artist Roland Fraser to create an evocative backdrop for the woman's journey.
Tickets are on sale now at the Traverse for the Fringe. Book early as they are going fast! Tickets are also on sale at www.edfringe.com
