Coastal Hazard Adaptation Program

Following QCoast2100's official launch on 2 June 2016, the LGAQ is pleased to announce that 31 coastal councils have been awarded grant funding following submission of successful project applications. Applications are now closed, however, a number of applications submitted within the Program deadline are currently being reviewed with further projects yet to be approved.

QCoast2100 wins Coastal Award

On the 7th of March 2019, QCoast2100 was announced as the award winner for the Climate Adaption category at the Australian Coastal Councils Conference held in Kiama, NSW. This represents the second award for the program to date. Read More

QCoast2100 Forum 5

QCoast2100's 5th Knowledge & Information Sharing Forum will be held on Thursday, 23 May 2019 in Cairns. The forum will feature selected local government representatives discussing their CHAS journeys and sharing lessons learnt. Registrations are now open. Read More

Redlands

Project Status Update

Two new projects for Redlands and TSIRC have been approved for funding, taking us to a total of 44 approved projects for the Program. Councils' project progress can be viewed on the 'Status of Projects' page on the QCoast2100 website. Read More

Douglas – Resilient Coast

Congratulations to Douglas Shire Council on the release of their draft Resilient Coast Strategic Plan that is now available for public comment. This signals the imminent completion of our first CHAS. Well done team! Read More
