Pastor Luke is starting a new sermon series this week about God’s extraordinary love for imperfect people. The premise of the series is how the Bible is made up of individuals who were imperfect, yet God accomplishes so much through them by His Grace. It’s to help us embrace being human beings in process because God gives us Grace. Hope to see you there—but 6 feet apart! :-)
CHURCH REOPENING

The Alpharetta Adventist Church is now fully reopened!
As of June 12, the State of Georgia lifted the Stay at Home orders for all Georgians. So, as we begin to come back to church, we’d like to ask that you please review our in place safety measures. Just click here. If you’re in an elevated At Risk category and don’t yet feel comfortable returning, we’ve got you covered!

Our streaming Worship Service is presented LIVE at 11 a.m. on our YouTube page each Sabbath. Gather the family and tune in for a special time of worship, prayer, praise, inspiration and relevant teaching with your Alpharetta church family, and enjoy the Sabbath!

Lower Division children’s Sabbath School classes have not yet resumed at the church. Stay tuned here for more info. In the meantime, you’ll find handy links to lesson guides on our website under the “Kids” tab.

Please continue to keep in touch with each other, particularly our sick or elderly members. Let the church leadership know if there's anything we can do to help. We're here for you. See below for contact info.

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 NASB

The Alpharetta Church is excited to present Vespers on the Lawn each Sabbath evening from 6-8 pm. (In inclement weather, we'll move inside.)

Hanging out with your friends, various programs, Bible games, devotionals/discussions, and testimonies are scheduled to bring the Sabbath to a close. Feel free to bring your own picnic supper, and chairs or blankets. See you there!

A Moment with Pastor Luke
What a great week! From getting to help Barbara Ratteree and Rachel Pinson get old Sabbath School materials ready to ship to Haiti, to getting to meet Mayor Troy Brumbalow of Cumming, GA, with Pauline Dunn, God has just continued to show His grace. It has me completely stoked as we dive into our sermon series titled Faces of Grace

Have you ever realized that the Bible contains stories of people very much like us? These are people who struggle with doubt, anger, lust, pride, etc., and yet God uses them to accomplish some tremendous things! All for His glory! I'm just constantly floored every time I open my Bible how much I can relate to the people I'm reading about. Yet, God's grace through them continues to bring change and transformation.

Over these next seven weeks, we will be looking at Grace and how God uses imperfect people to advance His purpose. If you've been struggling seeing God's grace in your life recently, then this series is for you! If you know someone who is struggling to see God's presence in their life, then this series is for them! So invite your friends, your neighbors, and even your enemies as we look at the Faces of Grace contained in Scripture and how God not only was present in their lives, but also is in ours—loving us and giving us grace.

Happy Sabbath, Church!
Pastor Luke

VBS CANCELLED
It is with a sad heart that we are cancelling VBS this year. We only had 5 families sign up and those families only wanted to do one night. We feel it is too much work and resources for 3 hours, at this time. Our plan is to do a back-to-school fair in September. We want to make it a community project-based program, and we may also look into doing something over the Christmas break.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your willingness to stand up and share God this summer, and we will still be sharing God, but just not through VBS this year. You are all a blessing.
