Moment with Pastor Luke

What an amazing month we have ahead of us! Not only are we journeying through the Gospel of Luke, but we have our Christmas Sing-Along tomorrow evening, a Youth Friday Night Hangout this next Friday, and then to cap it all off a Church Christmas Party! That makes a full December! You’re not going to want to miss any of these opportunities.

I am also super pumped for tomorrow to be able to share a message on what Jesus says concerning the “good stuff”. Can’t wait to worship with you all tomorrow! Have a wonderful evening!

Blessings,

Pastor Luke

Fix Your Eyes on Jesus Challenge

Starting December 1st we will be doing a devotional reading through the Gospel of Luke. By spending 1 hour a day reading 1 chapter we believe Jesus is going to do something transformative in our hearts! The rules are as follows;

  1. Cut our all news and media for the duration of the challenge. Tell your friends, announce to your social media groups, whatever you need to do so you can have this time to just focus on Jesus.

  2. Spend 1 hour (This will be difficult at first but keep going) reading 1 chapter a day. Here is my Devotional Journaling method that I got from Pastor David Hartman.

  1. During this challenge we want you to read a Bible in print. So put the digital Bibles away and spend time in one that is attractively designed and one you can highlight in (if you like to).

Lastly, if you want to follow along with the ways Jesus will be speaking to me, you can subscribe to our Church Youtube channel where I will be posting a video every day, sharing what Jesus taught me during my 1 hour. I look forward to the transformation!

Greetings church family! To close out this year Men’s Ministry will be having a moment to share some of our lessons learned following Jesus, favorite verses, quotes, and songs, in a way that will last, and uniquely give each of us Strength for Today and Tomorrow.

In the Men’s Ministry “STRENGTH for Today and Tomorrow” plan, STRENGTH is an acronym of qualities that Christian men must have to be victorious in our spiritual warfare each day. Of course, we all have our weaknesses. But, Jesus calls the brethren of the church to bear one another’s burdens. With this in mind, all men are invited to gather for an hour after church on December 4th in the Fellowship Hall, to discuss these qualities, share experiences, and pray for one another. Snacks will be provided, and a surprise will be presented. You won’t want to miss it!

See you Sat, Dec 4th in the fellowship hall immediately after church to obtain by God’s grace, Strength for that day, and each day that follows.

PAVILION

God has a plan for everyone and everything. That includes you, and it includes the Alpharetta Seventh-day Adventist Church. We believe that stories are being shaped through our church. That is why we set out to raise $185,000 to build a pavilion where our friends, family, and neighbors can come to hear the Gospel and learn to embrace God’s better story for their lives. To date we have raised over $100,000!

This pavilion will serve as a critical part of our overall campus, allowing our youth to have outside summer gatherings, our vespers to be sheltered from the sun and rain, and so much more. You can see what the pavilion will look like by going to www.alpharettasda.com/pavilion.

We can’t pull this off without your support. Whether you give to our church on a regular basis, or just attend on occasion, we’re asking you to prayerfully consider contributing to this undertaking. It’s something we need our entire church community’s help with. Even if you can’t make a large gift, know that every little bit helps. It’s more about coming together as a community, united behind the common cause of sharing the story of Jesus. We hope that you’ll consider making a donation towards this great step forward in proclaiming the gospel.

You can give online at our website through AdventistGiving, or mark it on your tithe envelopes.

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. – Psalm 27:5
