Dear Church Family,

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend, Ivelene Mullikin, who battled various health issues over the past several years. Ivelene held several positions at the Alpharetta Church, including Sabbath School Superintendent and Potluck Coordinator. Her potlucks were elaborate events
she wanted everything to be prepared as if Jesus would be joining us in the flesh. She was instrumental in creating the Platform Host position. She was an amazing woman and joy to our church!

We mourn with Jim, her husband, and the rest of her family clinging to the promise of Jesus Christ and His second coming. We eagerly await that day when, "this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory....O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:53-55).

Ivelene Mullikin Obituary

February 24, 1949 ~ June 29, 2020

Helen, better known as Ivelene, was born in Atlanta, Georgia. to L.E. and Lula Lee Kuykendall. Ivelene never met a stranger and always put others ahead of herself. She was a loving wife, doting mother and proud grandmother. For most of her career, she was a successful business owner selling limousines all over the southeast. Her passion for God led her to putting together events for The Quiet Hour and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Redlands, California. There, she and Jim would cook feasts, decorate and serve others ensuring everyone felt special.

She took most pride in being a grandmother and loved spending time with her grandkids and going to all of their various events. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Mullikin, son Cary Mullikin and wife Caroline Mullikin, daughter Monica McKaskle and husband Andy McKaskle, grandchildren Carter Mullikin, Caitie Mullikin and Jake McKaskle, sisters Jean Denmon and Dennise Knight as well as many nieces and nephews.
