Living in the Kingdom of Jesus!
Isn't it great to know we live in Jesus' Kingdom right now!! Many Christians talk about when Christ will come to set up his kingdom here on earth and reign. However, Jesus makes it clear that he is ruling right now and that we are living in the last days. He is at the right hand of God (Ephesians 1) and ruling all things for his body, the church of all believers. How does he rule? He rules by his Word in our hearts and through his church/believers in this world! We are the face of God in this world! We are his priests and his temple!
Wow, that makes us precious and important in God's eyes!!
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (Revelation 1:6)

Jesus Is Our Demon-Crushing King!
Tomorrow, we hear Jesus speak with authority. Imagine what it must have been like to hear Jesus speak. He stood out from the other leaders and speakers in the synagogue or church. If you think about it, it is HIS WORD! He is the author of that very Word. Hebrews speaks of God speaking through him in these last days.
In the past, God spoke to our forefathers by the prophets at many times and in many ways. 2 In these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact imprint of the divine nature. He sustains all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high. (Hebrews1:1-3)
Jesus is also described as the author of our salvation! (Hebrews 2:10).
In the Gospel reading for this week from Mark, we find Jesus where he always seemed to be on the Sabbath, in the synagogue or church - he was in worship. There he speaks God's Word. We hear him also confront a demonic spirit that was in a man. To think that Satan was in the church. He works hardest on those that have God's Word for he knows that is the only thing that can truly bring Jesus and salvation to souls. Satan knows that if he can separate us from Jesus and his Word, he can destroy our faith and salvation. Jesus shows he has the power to CRUSH Satan and all the demons!
Sadly, Satan is still working hard to keep people from Jesus and from worship and from his Word. But Christ is our Demon-Crushing King and promises that where two or three are together, there he is with them. Come gather around Jesus' Word in worship and to find that soul-stilling peace of Jesus and the freedom he gives for life in his Kingdom! Keep going to Jesus' Word for comfort and empower you to live in Jesus' Kingdom! What purpose your have for life -- to live for your KING - JESUS!!

Your offering statements should be in the mail and/or email. If you do not receive one by the end of this next week, please send me a note at Thank you.
