Welcome to Our New Organist!
Hello parishioners - as promised in last week's parish email, I am very happy to announce that we have found a new organist and choir director, Dan Fannon! Dan is a very recent transplant to New Hamburg from New York City, where he served as organist and choir director in several Episcopal churches, including St. Mary-the-Virgin Manhattan, St. Paul's Staten Island, and Grace Church Nyack. He has completed graduate studies in orchestral conducting at the Guildhall School of Music, London, and the Akadamie fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna, and holds a Master's degree in conducting from the Mozartuem, Salzburg. I think he'll pass muster at St. Nick's! :)
Dan also runs a bookkeeping and accounting business, and is a Lt/Commander in the United States Power Squadrons. He has a restored 1936 boat, now at White's Marina, and is feeling right at home in our little hamlet.
Needless to say, we are SO blessed to have found him, and the timing was simply incredible.
Dan will be joining us this Sunday, so do come out and give him a big welcome!
