IMIrJ's "ICE Out of Oregon" campaign is engaging Oregon faith leaders and communities in efforts alongside legal and immigrant justice partner organizations to ensure that our courthouses and communities are safe and inclusive for all Oregon residents, regardless of immigration status.
The October 2019 Campaign Briefing is an opportunity to get the latest updates on the campaign; share updates, strategies, and tips from leaders across the state; and help shape the work moving forward. We'll also discuss key actions that you and your community can take in the coming weeks and months.
Also - mark your calendars for Friday, October 18th at 2:00pm. This is when members of the Uniform Trial Court Rules (UTCR) committee will meet in Salem to consider a proposed rule to prohibit ICE arrests in and around Oregon courthouses. IMIrJ leaders will attend the hearing together to show our support for keeping ICE out of our courthouses. We encourage you to join us as you are able. Watch for more details soon!
In gratitude and solidarity,
