Interfaith Movement for
Immigrant Justice

Movimento Interfe para la Justicia del Inmigrante

Dear IMIrJ friends,

Election day is just 3 weeks away. Today is the deadline to register to vote. Ballots will be mailed starting tomorrow. Now is the time to engage! Here are 3 things you can do today to help defend Oregon's 30-year-old sanctuary law:

1. Call-in at 12pm today! Join our No on 105: Reaching Beyond the Pews Campaign Briefing call to share campaign updates, stories and strategies. Call-in info below.

2. Sign up to canvass or phonebank with IMIrJ!  Our goal is to have a dozen IMIrJ supporters at each of the dates listed below.

3.  Get a yard sign for your congregation or home and make visible your opposition to hate, fear, and Measure 105.

Scroll down for details on all these opportunities - and more!

In Solidarity,
Your IMIrJ staff team
Sarah, Ron, Jimmy, Alyssa

PS. Ready for more?  You can also:

Host a No on 105 house meeting: Reach beyond the pews. Help educate your coworkers, neighbors, and friends about 105 - and build relationships for the long haul. Check out the IMIrJ toolkit at: www.imirj.org/no-on-105

Organize a canvass day for your community: If you have at least 12 people in your faith community who can commit to attend, No on 105 field staff will help you set up a neighborhood canvass starting from your congregation! All you need to do is provide date/time, place & people! Contact Joel (541) 357-7664 (joel@causaoregon.org) to arrange & let sarah@imirj.org know so we can support and help you publicize!

Call-in today!

No On 105: Reaching Beyond our Pews
Campaign Briefing Call #2
Tuesday, October 16th
12:00 - 1:00pm

Please join us for today's videoconference briefing for IMIrJ's No on Measure 105: Reaching Beyond Our Pews campaign. We'll share campaign updates, hear highlights and strategies from different communities, and take time to pray and reflect together on the broader context of our work.

We'll be using Zoom for this videoconference - you can join in using a computer/webcam (it's always nice to see each other's faces!) or on your phone like a regular conference call. If this is your first time using Zoom, we encourage you to try connecting a few minutes early so we can troubleshoot any technical difficulties.

  • To connect via video conference, go to: https://zoom.us/j/303259914
  • To connect via telephone, call 669-900-6833 or 646-558-8656, and enter 303 259 914 when prompted for the Meeting ID.

See you soon!

Let's do this together!
