Swedish reggae Singer/ Songwriter Illspree was introduced to reggae music at the age of fourteen by her father. "It was ONE LOVE at the first sound." As her collection of reggae music grew so did her passion for singing. One can hear her influences such as Alethea & Donna and Sister Nancy in her style but she is 100% original with her own immediate recognizable voice/ sound.  Her charismatic stage presence is raw and pure and matches her conscious & uplifting lyrics. Illspree - a real artist with true talent.

TrioKinesis Feat. Eric Person

Saxaphonist, Eric Person, Bassist, Joseph Lepore and Drummer, Shinnisuke Takahashi came together in 2010 while playing informal jams at Joe's home in Queens, New York.  "We struck a different feeling from the very start" says Eric Person.  The feelings they convey are within a wide spectrum where the listener can expect the unexpected.  TrioKinesis plays with an uncommon unity and with a full expressive sound as if they are four or five musicians.  Their interchange is paramount and they play a wide spectrum of expressions textures, linear devices, and colorations.  They seek to go beyond the common "worn out treads" that line so much of today's music.  The group respects the roots that were laid down by the masters of the art while finding their own unique pulse that reflects the modern times we live in.

There are singers and then there are soul singers. Mere female artists, and then divas. If a single phrase could describe vocalist, songwriter and performer Taragirl, it would be “the truth!” Her powerhouse voice, contagious energy and charismatic songs have earned the Philadelphia-based artist a reputation as an indie star. With two releases, multiple sold out shows, opening slots for a slew of national acts, and outlets like the Daily News calling her "Philly's next signature voice"- popular blogs begging "Someone sign this girl, promote her and get her on her way!"(PhillyChitChat.com), Taragirl is certainly poised to break out onto the larger music scene.  Taragirl's blend of soul, pop, funk and r&b has wide appeal, with her vocal acrobatics and fiery stage presence rousing tens of thousands of fans.

Tondrae Kemp

Watch:
http://youtu.be/t5SSw9Fxgmg

Though we may not all want the exact same things out of life, there's one common goal that we are all in search of: happiness. Since the beginning of time, the pursuit of happiness has made folk do some downright foolish stuff. Let the good Reverend Al Green tell it, happiness is one of those things that'll make you do wrong (love being the other one, of course). Regardless of the price one may sometimes pay for obtaining happiness, it does little to stop us from searching for it. Singer Tondrae Kemp brings his search to the forefront in his latest, the aptly-titled "Happiness." The first single from his new album, Sun Money, the song encapsulates all of the frustrations that can arise when on the hunt for the ever-elusive state of being. Bluesy and gritty, Kemp morphs from the pursuer to the accuser as he takes happiness to task for remaining out of reach. And while we all know that complaining about something does little to ease the pain, it does take the edge off a bit to commiserate over some good music. The New Orleans native/Brooklyn transplant's album, Sun Money, is available on iTunes.
