Week #33 - The Readers' digest #2: the Jazz edition

TL;DR: I'm running a weekly newsletter with 5 songs and a short description, and a matching Spotify playlist if you want to subscribe.

For the non-Spotify readers, there is a Youtube link for each of the songs on the cover.

Hello everyone!

Week 33.

Here is another long due episode, with another 5 tracks of your suggestions since the last couple of months. As I was going through my emails this morning, i ended up picking 5 great songs suggestions with a jazzy vibe for this week. I hope you enjoy.

I'm also hoping to send another readers' digest before the end of the year so please keep on sending me your suggestions this way.

Guillaume Perret & The Electric Epic - Shoebox

An epic (10min long) jazz fusion piece to start this week. The collaboration of a french jazz saxophone player with some veterans of the French prog fusion scene.

The music is hence very energetic and quite dark and heavy jazz fusion, but with pure rock roots. Very influenced by Magma for the connoisseurs.

Rodolphe Burger & Erik Marchand - C'est dans la Vallée

An amazing song from one of the main french rock musician and one of the greatest  Breton traditional singer and player of the treujenn-gaol (Breton clarinet).

Abdullah Ibrahum - Did You Hear That Sound

Abdullah Ibrahim, South Africa’s most distinguished pianist and a world-respected master musician.

NEU! - Hallogallo

Another long piece, of the 1970s german krautrock/electronic pioneers. A nice track to put on a background for your sunday afternoon.

Viagra Boys - Troglodyte

The latest album from the Swedish crazy punk dance jazz punks. Play it at volume 11.

Until the next time, Godspeed!
