Week #15 - Happy Easter everyone

TL;DR: I'm running a weekly newsletter with 5 songs and a short description of it, and a matching Spotify playlist if you want to subscribe.

For the non-Spotify readers, there is a Youtube link for each of the songs on the cover.

Hello everyone!

Week 15. Happy Easter weekend everyone.

No particular topic for today. I didn’t get any inspiration. Just 5 random songs from some of my recent rotations. No specific genre or order, just 5 songs I enjoyed listening to the last couple of months. Let me know what you think.

Also, I’m planning to send another reader’s digest in the next month or so. Send me a couple of songs you’d think I would enjoy. See you next week and I'm looking forward to reading you :-)
Seth Sentry - Simple Game: Some australian hip hop to start with. Very fresh sound and production and a thick accent :-) Very inspired by RJD2 or DJ Shadow

Jon Hopkins - Singularity: I’ve started a new job lately and I’m still reading a lot, so electronic / instrumental music helps to focus a lot. I’ve listened to a lot of Jon Hopkins for that.

Slowdive - When The Sun Hits: The shoe-gaze legends for one of their most famous titles.

Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Dynamite Lover.

The New Yorker mavericks who re-imagined blues rock in the 1990s and inspired the subsequent garage-rock revival.

Big Thief - The Only Place. An acoustic one to finish this playlist. Steve, my office neighbor praised a lot the latest album of Big Thief. It too me a while to get into it (As you can tell, country folk is not necessarily the music I’d listen to spontaneously). But I came back to it regularly.
Until the next time, Godspeed!
