WORLD OCEAN FORUM
SOLUTIONS WITHIN REACH
Today we are announcing the concept of Solutions Within Reach as the new focus for the World Ocean Forum. Curated by Dr. Tundi Agardy, we would like to engage with you — our network of thinkers, scientists, decision-makers, activists and global citizens — to enable a conversation about new ideas as an alternative to those that are proving ineffectual and unsustainable in the face of this pandemic. We invite you to join us by contributing your thoughts on the following:
Who, what and how do we want to be on the other side of this crisis?
To contribute your thoughts on Solutions Within Reach, please visit World Ocean Forum to respond directly on the platform, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
50th ANNIVERSARY OF EARTH DAY
JOIN IN LIVE
First and foremost: HAPPY EARTH DAY! Today would normally be marked by gathering together side-by-side with our fellow citizens in cities around the world to celebrate, to demand climate action, to participate in a beach or park clean up, or any number of other activities involving other human beings and the great outdoors. This year is anything but normal. Instead of gathering in person, activists will be invited to come together for a three-day EARTH DAY LIVE event. Here is an overview:
The 50th anniversary of Earth Day is about demonstrating collective power in the face of today's multiple crises. On this day there will be performances, conversations, trainings, etc. Learn more.
April 23: DIVEST

TOGETHER WE RISE
With all of the data being generated today, the use of visually engaging, 3-dimensionally rendered and animated presentations provide an alternative to the more traditional graphing of information used in the past. We are pleased to announce some exciting updates to our Visualization Theater with links and information on the world's oceans, waterways, water supplies, climate and weather. The use of the data visualizations found here, both online and in the classroom, has the potential to transform the ways we engage with and learn about scientific facts related to the world ocean. We hope you'll use and share.
