The toll that we humans are taking on the environment is the consequence of our production and consumption. So, inspired by Sustainable Development Goal #15, we ask four brilliant people, what would responsible consumption and production look like in London, Ontario?

Meet Ron Benner

You know the permanent photographic/garden art installation on the grounds of Museum London, overlooking the river? It's called As the Crow Flies, created by London artist and activist Ron Benner in 2005. Part sculpture, part installation, and part performance, the installation explores what you encounter if you travel due south from London, wherever you come across water along the longitude. Watch this video for a tour of the permanent exhibit. In addition, read more about Ron's views on how art can change our relationship with the environment. Finally, be sure to catch Ron's upcoming presentation at the November 16 City Symposium!

Green in the City

For this City Symposium event, we're teaming up Green in the City, an annual environmental seminar series co-organized by the London Environmental Network, the City of London, and the London Public Library. In these sessions, we explore key environmental issues like food waste, urban agriculture, sustainable transportation through the lenses of regional, municipal, and local speakers. Be sure to check out all the webinars and workshops occurring this November.
