A warm welcome to our Winter 2019 newsletter

Each year, The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust goes from strength to strength and 2019 has been no exception! We thank all our supporters for their help with our aims to spread awareness of the condition and to ensure that anyone affected by the condition gets the help and support they need.
Our Impact 2019
During the debate in the House of Commons for Baby Loss Awareness Week, The EPT was mentioned and recognised as providing crucial support to those affected by pregnancy and baby loss.

We launched a series of videos to raise awareness of ectopic pregnancy and its impact and the services provided by The EPT. The videos are a powerful resource with total reach of over 50,000 people through social media channels within just a few days.

We distributed nearly double the number of support leaflets to hospitals across the UK, compared with last year.
The EPT Patient Information Suite was Highly Commended at this year’s BMA Patient Information Awards and was shortlisted for the overall Patient Information Award 2019.

October’s Baby Loss Awareness Week had a 40% increase in our supporters sharing photographs and stories on social media as compared with last year, powerfully highlighting the ordeal of pregnancy loss through ectopic pregnancy.

Thanks to our fundraisers

Thanks to everyone who used EasyFundraising and nominated The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust as their charity to help us raise over £2,500. By shopping online as you would normally, the charity receives free money!

Our fundraisers tackled many amazing challenges to raise awareness of ectopic pregnancy and to provide funds to help us continue our essential work.
The EPT is sponsoring Heather Flanagan, a PhD student at The University of Edinburgh, who is researching the causes of ectopic pregnancy.

The EPT online community has more than 14,500 members on the online discussion forums with over 4,500 topics.

While some express themselves by sharing their own experiences, others gain comfort by reading the words of others.

We have a new selection of EPT e-cards and many choose to donate what they would have spent on cards and postage. Send a Christmas E-card
On behalf of the entire EPT team,
we wish you a restful Christmas and a peaceful 2020
