Jenn Beer, Vice President of Government Affairs, gave testimony at the PA Senate Finance Committee hearing, presided by Senate Finance Chairman, Scott Hutchinson. The testimony focused on the need for a comprehensive tax policy and the importance of technology & innovation in our economy.

Our November First Friday event featured Eugene DePasquale, PA Auditor General. We appreciate Auditor General DePasquale taking the time to discuss workforce development, school safety, and saving taxpayer dollars, among many other issues. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with the Commonwealth of PA to improve the economy and quality of life in the 10-county Pittsburgh region. Join us for our December First Friday event featuring a conversation with a few of our region’s emerging leaders – Representative-Elect Natalie Mihalek (R-PA 40), Representative Austin Davis (D-PA 35), Westmoreland County Commissioner Gina Cerilli, and Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Erika Strassburger (District 8). The event will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 20 Stanwix Street. Networking and a continental breakfast begin at 8:00 a.m., with the program from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Post-Election Panel


NAIOP Pittsburgh held a post-election panel in November. Panelists included Jenn Beer of the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, Rep. Austin Davis, Councilwoman Erika Strassburger and Councilman Tom Baker. The discussion focused on the outcomes of the recent elections and what policies the panel believed could be priorities for our region as new state and local legislators take office next year.
