It's been a busy and productive year.

1. CODE exhibition in June/July
2. Scholarly article Kathryn Brimblecombe-Fox Paintings 2002 -2010 by Dr. Christine Dauber [PhD Art History] at online journal Panoptic Press. This article is the first of a two part series.

3. My painting featured on the cover of the UK's The Independent newspaper, March 7, 2015, International Women's Day feature. The painting: She was not made out of his head to surpass him, nor from his feet to be trampled on, but from his side to be equal to him, and near his heart to be dear to him. [Jamieson-Fausset Brown Bible  Commentary] Oil on linen 80 x 120 cm, 2009.

4. Invited again to enter the $30,000 Tattersall's Club Landscape Art Award.
My entry [below]: Life Calling. Anyone There? Oil on linen, 70 x 140 cm, 2013. Aliens out there? Maybe, maybe not, but scientists are listening and looking. Or 'alienated' souls here on Earth? Given current times, the latter is profoundly more concerning. You can read more about what I was thinking about when I painted this painting HERE

5. I am painting and look forward to an exhibition in the next 2-3 years. My interests in cosmology, untethering landscape from Earth-bound horizons and the potency of age-old symbols continue. As a result of my interest in cosmology, I have also become fascinated by the new research area of existential risk posed by emerging technologies. In fact, I have returned to the University of Queensland to do a Masters of Philosophy [research thesis] to research existential risk and art/painting. I won't be using my own work in the thesis, but the research is certainly inspiring me. Examples of new paintings are below Picturing the Posthuman and the one at the top of this newsletter In the Cradle

6. BLOGGING - My BLOG is entering its 10th year! I continue to post once a week and I am happy to say, I continue to attract quite a lot of visitors and regular readers.
