What makes you feel safe? In the absence of a sense of safety, we go into survival mode. As I look around me, I notice more and more people seeming to be in this not-safe-just surviving mode. This might be you? Certainly, the current conditions are ripe for not feeling safe.  What can you do to feel safer? Bring cues of safety into your spaces - plants, photos of loved ones, candles. Remove cues of danger when possible - clutter, stacks of bills, masks.  Smile and look at neighbours, the grocery clerk. Hold the door open and say hello to someone. Small gestures of kindness and connection can go a long way in helping others feel safer and more connected.
