The internet at St. John's is too slow to Livestream. For now we are recording the 8 a.m. Liturgy and posting it to the website. We will be able to livestream when the internet is upgraded, which will take a few months. Until that time the 8 a.m. Liturgy will be posted at approximately 11 a.m. on Sundays.

Congratulations on the Baptisms of

Brice Baxter Till and Colbie Marian Till,

twin daughters of David and Lauren Till.
They will be baptized after the 9:30 am service on the Feast of All Saints’.

St. John's welcomes them into the house of God!
All Souls' Liturgy, November 2nd, 7pm

Since Mother Melissa was hired, we have offered an All Souls' liturgy with a luncheon to follow to mourn all those we love and see no longer. We always extend a special welcome to those who have been buried in the Columbarium. This year, we have limited space to worship in-person. However, if there is someone you would like to be remembered by name, please email Mother Melissa. They will be added to the list of saints in light and will be prayed by name during the service. Parish Forum Next Week- November 8!

Our Parish Forum for the coming weeks focus on Christian Formation. Each Sunday, our younger children participate in a program called Godly Play, but none of us get to witness the depth and breadth of this program. Next Sunday, you are invited to observe children as they wonder about the work of God. Godly play was developed by theologian and Episcopal priest, Jerome Berryman. At its core, it is a Montessori approach to the Biblical narrative which honors the innate spirituality of children. As our children and youth program continues to grow, Godly Play forms them as followers of Christ.
Last Sunday, we commenced our stewardship program with a Parish Forum on stewardship. In case you were unable to attend, the forum can be viewed here.  Look for a letter in the mail in the coming week inviting you to discern your pledge for 2021.  We thank you all for your prayerful participation.
Each week we will try to answer your Faq's questions about stewardship at St. John's.

What is the deeper meaning of stewardship? Stewardship is an expression of gratitude and thankfulness for the blessings of life that come from God.  God is love shared and love returned. In practical terms, this means that we individually and collectively make gifts of financial resources and of time and talents to support the mission and ministry of this parish.

It's time once again to consider your ministry to St John's by serving on the Vestry.
The Nominating Committee consists of Barb Cross, Perry Heath, Katie Perkowski
and Robert Pound.
Each of them would be happy to answer any of your questions regarding the responsibilities
as a member of the Vestry.  If you are interested and would like your name put on the ballot, please contact one of these members or the Office Administrator. Please make sure we have your name by January 4th if you are interested in helping with this vital ministry. The election will be held in February 2021.
Four members will be elected for a three year term.

We still need volunteers to drop off flyers.
