Have you noticed the new signage for St. John's?  Thank you to Perry Heath and the Property Team for securing these attractive and readable signs. We have received many compliments already. St. John's is a large and complex physical plant to maintain. We  are grateful for all those who have pledged who ensure that we will be able to not only maintain, but make this a hospitable and beautiful facility for generations.
At the 9:30 service we will celebrate with Lessons and Carols. There is no Eucharist at this service. At the 8:00 service we will celebrate Advent III, Rite 1 with Eucharist.

Newcomers' Welcome
On Sunday, December 16th all those who have been worshiping with us since the summer and are new to St. John's will be invited to a festive fellowship time hosted by the New Members' Committee. Please plan to attend this coffee hour so you can greet and welcome some of the newest people in St. John's community.
Parish Forum - Next Sunday December 23rd
Next week we ask that the parishioners of St. John’s bring Christmas crèches and nativity sets to share with the congregation.

First, Contact Beth and Truman Bullard to let them know what you are bringing.  We need to make sure we set up appropriately.  Someone will be in the Parish Hall to watch the sets while we worship.

Next, Please bring your set from different cultures, and places from around the world on Sunday morning December 23.  They must be set up BEFORE 9:15 am.
Then, please label your sets with some interesting information.

Finally, this will be a brief and on-your-feet Parish Forum without a speaker. You may stand by your set and converse about your beautiful Christmas pieces.

Thank You!

The 10th Annual Cookie Walk was a Success!

A huge THANK YOU goes to all members of the congregation who helped with the Cookie Walk. Wonderful people who delivered posters, spread the word, made boxes, were shift workers, served as cashiers, helped with clean-up and set-up, moved cookies from cars to the kitchen, or were customers. A very special thank you goes to the bakers, who took time from busy December schedules to make over 12,000 delectable cookies.  The variety and amount of cookies was extraordinary.

We cleared over $6000.00 on this fundraiser.  In its 10 year history The Cookie Walk has raised over $50,000.00 for the work of St. John’s.

This year we ran out of customers before we ran out of cookies.  All extra cookies were donated to the local Truckers Ministry’s Christmas Cookie program.

Everyone working together to make this a success is a hallmark of this congregation and you have the sincere appreciation of the Cookie Walk Committee.
