Save the date for our first Parish Forum,
September 27th at 11am

On Sunday, September 27 a zoom link will be emailed out at 10:50 a.m.  Please check your email then for the link!  If you haven't used Zoom before please make sure it is downloaded on the device you are planning to use.

Our first Parish Forum will be the State of the Parish meeting. This forum will be similar to the format in years past. We hope as many of you will be excited to attend to hear about all the new ministries undertaken during Covid, as well as the resumption of some in-person ministries. Al Blitz, our parish treasurer, will also give our mid-year budget narrative.  A brief report on the successful Raise the Roof  Campaign will be given as well.

St. John's needs ushers for our in-person worship.

Please contact Fr. Adam, if you can serve.
From your stewardship chair,
Becky Hammell

One of my favorite writers, Parker J. Palmer, wrote "We are here not only to transform the world but also to be transformed." To me this quote embodies the joy and challenge of our relationship with God, our church and with each other.  As we enter a period of discernment for our annual stewardship drive, think about the ways that you both have been transformed by your experiences at St. John's, as well as the way in which you have transformed others.  Perhaps your voice has been part of a beautiful choir, or you have served as an acolyte or lay leader.  Maybe you've worked with the SPY program or served as a host for Carlisle CARES. Did you ever find yourself moved by a sermon, a piece of music or an Adult forum presentation?  All of these things happen because of your ability to both transform and be transformed. Your participation in our annual stewardship drive provides support for these and many other opportunities at St. John's.
