The Spire: This Week at St. John's Episcopal Church On-the-Square
View this email in your browser

Dear Good People of St. John’s Episcopal Church,

We all are longing to be together to worship God, and though we are in exile waiting, the work of St. John’s, our Clergy and our Staff has dramatically increased because of the confinement of social distancing. Likewise we must honor our financial obligations to our vendors and our staff and be willing and able to provide financial assistance to those parishioners who may be in need.

If you are financially able to do so, please remain faithful to your pledge by giving to St. John’s via one of the methods below.

For those are fortunate enough to receive a direct payment under the recent CARES legislation, and who are asking themselves, “How can I use this money to help others less fortunate than me?”, please consider donating part or all of that gift to St. John’s or one of our worthy local charities.

If you are temporarily unable to honor your pledge due to your health or the current economic environment, we understand, you remain part of our faith community, and all of us pray for your speedy return to physical and financial health.

For those contemplating including St. John’s in their estate plan, you can contact our Treasurer Al Blitz dianeblitz@comcast.net  717-440-5360), and next week look forward to a Bishop White Society newsletter which will be linked the week’s e-blast of The Spire.

We are working hard to build up the Kingdom, all of us, wherever we may be. We are the church in a new way guided by the Spirit and supported by all of you.

Sincerely,

The Finance Committee of St. John’s Episcopal Church
Alvin Blitz – Treasurer
Bill Lord – Assistant Treasurer
Debbie Kendrick – Senior Warden and Finance Clerk
Becky Hammell – Chair Investment Subcommittee
The Rev. Adam Kradel – Rector
