Would you like to meet other members of the Episcopal Church in Central PA?

We are looking for two more delegates to the Diocesan Convention!  The convention will be held Fri, October 18, 2019, noon through Sat, October 19, 2019, 4pm. 
Please let Fr. Adam know if you might be interested.

 Our Sunday School program will resume this Sunday!
 Godly Play will continue to meet upstairs with Ms. Dayna and Ms. Dolores.
Ms. Theresa will meet downstairs with kids from Grades 2-5.
Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers will also meet downstairs with Deeg.

Upcoming Events:
  • January 20  We will be participating in Father Adam's  Liturgical Scavenger Hunt during the Parish Forum. We encourage all families to participate in this fun event.
  • January 27 is our Annual Meeting during Parish Forum Time. Parents:  We encourage you to stay and hear about the State of our Parish.  Children will have a movie and popcorn available downstairs. 
  • Back by Popular Demand! Evening Youth Group will resume in mid February.  More details to come in the next few weeks!
Women at the Well

 Calling all St. John's Women! We will begin our year by coming together on Saturday, January 12th in the Parish Hall.  Refreshments will be provided by Carolyn Freberg and Pat Simms; serving them from 9:00 to 9:30am.  Program will begin at 9:30 and conclude by 11:00am.  Debbie Kendrick will provide the program:   
Putting Gratitude into Your Attitude.  Please join us for a morning of  fellowship, reflections, and of course, tasting food. Contact Debbie Kendrick at if you want additional information.

 Feb. 3-March 10th, Sundays, 10:45-11:30 

Everything you’ve always wanted to know about Saint John’s and more, these informative sessions include topics such as the social and political dynamics that led to the formation of the Episcopal Church, the people that were martyred in the process, and how, why and when The Book of Common Prayer was written, the Scriptures, and the Sacraments. If you cannot attend the sessions but are interested in becoming a member of St. John’s, please email the associate rector for more information.

This study starts on Wednesday, January 16. I have the reserved books available and a few extras if you want to join now. You will need to start reading for this study on Monday, January 14. Please call or contact the office if are interested in joining so I can make sure we have a book for you!

Thriving in Ministry-
Fr. Adam and Mother Melissa have been selected to participate in a Lily Foundation Program called Thriving in Ministry. This program aims to support clergy couples in their vocations. The group meets monthly via Zoom and they are starting up this month. Both Fr. Adam and Mother Melissa are excited to have been chosen for this program and know it will benefit them and the community at St. John's.
