Cookie Walk Is On, December 11th,
COVID style!
Spread the word.
The St. John's Cookie Walk is a cherished tradition that Covid can not shut down. Let the baking begin!

We still need wonderful bakers to make 10 dozen cookies; there will be opportunities to use the convection ovens in the kitchen if you would like to.  Sign up sheets, Cookie Tins, and helpful hints for cooking (and possibly) freezing cookies will be available in the entrance of the church this Sunday.

We still need volunteers to drop off flyers.
We still need volunteers to construct boxes, receive cookies, and pack them on Thursday, December 10th.
We still need volunteers to assist with the sale of boxed cookies on Friday, December 11th.

This year, the Cookie Walk will take place at the High Street entrance. People will buy boxes of prepackaged cookies. Deeg Shank is our Covid Cookie Walk chair. Please email her,, to let her know how you can help. More details to follow. For now, please save the date!

We will be able to livestream when the internet is upgraded, which will take a few months. Until that time the 8 a.m. Liturgy will be posted at approximately 1 p.m. on Sundays.

We still have space available for this Sunday's Services!

Reservations close Friday Morning at 9am.

Feel free to sign up every week now that we can have up to fifty people at each service.

Parish Forum Next Week- November 15!

Due to rising COVID numbers, we have decided to not gather children and adults in-person for the scheduled forum. Our Parish Forum will be on hiatus this Sunday. Next week, our Parish Forum will resume online only. Please start gathering Advent wreath materials as Advent starts two weeks earlier than we are used to this year. The Parish Forum on November 22 will be an Advent wreath making workshop and explanation of the liturgical season of Advent.
Faith and Politics Discussion Group
Two weeks ago Fr. Adam held a Zoom discussion regarding the recent election. It became apparent that there is interest in having a Faith and Politics discussion group via Zoom. This group will be a discussion group and not an activist group.  If you are interested, send Fr. Adam an e-mail at ( and he will send you a link for a Zoom next Wednesday at 2 p.m..

Why is making a pledge important?

Pledging yourself to any spiritual practice increases the likelihood that you will actually do it. In the autumn each year we ask you to commit to the practice of giving. We’re most concerned with your commitment to this practice.

Additionally, your vestry does its best to operate the church on a sound financial basis, and knowing what the church can expect in income enhances the vestry’s ability to plan responsibly.

Fourth Night Formation Book Group on Zoom, Wednesdays, 7pm, began November 11!

As Covid continues, we thought we would try an on-line platform for the beloved fourth night formation program. Becky Hammell will lead a book study on the Presiding Bishop's new book, "The Way of Love: Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times."  We will meet for 6 weeks starting November 11 - December 23 (no meeting Thanksgiving week).  This will be interactive with time to discuss and time to write and reflect.  To register for the study, please email Becky at The book is available through Amazon at  In addition to the book, a notebook and pen or pencil for each session will be helpful.

Becky will send you the Zoom link for the discussion. We look forward to gathering together in the cloud.
