Marion SWCD would like to address concerns regarding Coronavirus/COVID 19 relating to our Native Plant Sale on Saturday, March 14.
The general recommendation for public is to practice precautionary measures to protect everyone’s health. Current Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidance for the American public is that the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low. At this time, recommendations remain to continue about our daily lives.
The CDC is recommending the general public practice precautionary measures to protect our health including handwashing, covering your cough, and staying home if you are ill. Please help stop the spread of this virus.
At this time, we intend keep the Native Plant Sale open. For our public’s safety Marion SWCD will be taking the following precautions at our Native Plant Sale on Saturday March 14:
- Have hand sanitizer available
- Staff and volunteers will use disposable gloves
- Wipe/sanitize surfaces on a regular basis throughout the day
- Limit the number of people allowed to enter the sale at one time to maintain the recommended social distance
