Dear <<First Name>>,
Looking for a last minute "experience" gift? I'm offering a Microgreens and Sprouts Workshop that may fit the bill.
Here are some other ideas. Below, check out some events I found in the latest issue of the Horticultural Society of Edmonton; these sound like a great break from winter.
Microgreens and Sprouts Workshop - Tuesday, January 29, 2019 Date and Time: Tuesday, January 29, 7-9 pm Location: St. Albert Grain Elevator Park, 4 Meadowview Drive, St. Albert Map Workshop Cost: $25 - limited early bird spots, $30 - regular ticket
Optional Advance Purchase: $14 - Clay dish for microgreens, made by local potter, food safe (limited supply) Registration through Eventbrite - limited early bird pricing
Are you craving fresh greens? Come and learn how to grow microgreens and sprouts indoors while the outdoor garden is asleep. In just minutes a day, enjoy a fresh supply of greens as a healthy addition to smoothies, salads, and sandwiches.
This workshop will give you the tools and know-how for continuous happy indoor growing! Walk away with a planted container and info on materials and methods from super simple (and ‘dirt' cheap!) to more advanced.
Learn by Doing: Please bring a small container, such as a 250 mL hummus or sour cream container or an aluminum pie plate and a plastic bag to fit this container. Soil and enough seeds for a hands-on activity will be provided.
This is a great Christmas present for a buddy or family member. Getting grubby and leaning into good health is a great way to start the new year!
