Start the year by reading about Mayra Alaniz, a graduate student in the College of Business Administration, who has been working to make professional wardrobes a reality for first-generation and low-income students. Alaniz's mission to help fellow classmates find free professional clothing options has become a student lead non-profit organization here at Marquette.

Fall Registration Open for Diversity & Inclusion Educational Programs for Employees
Priority deadline: September 1, 2022
The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion offers a variety of programs for employees to learn more about topics related to diversity and inclusion. Register for fall cohorts of the Anti-Racism Community (ARC) Dialogues and the Making Marquette Inclusive Discussion Series by Thursday, Sept. 1.

Propose a Speaker for the Metcalfe Chair

Academic and co-curricular programs are invited to propose an educational leader, scholar-practitioner, researcher or social justice advocate to serve as the Metcalfe Chair for the 2022-23 academic year. The Metcalfe Chair is a non-residential visiting scholar of African American, Latinx or Native American heritage.

Housed in the Diederich College of Communication, the Neighborhood News Service is an independent nonprofit that covers Milwaukee’s diverse central city neighborhoods. Through evidence-based reporting, they act as a ferocious watchdog for readers who are often neglected (unless there’s trouble) by other media outlets.

Victim Advocates
Marquette's Campus Victim Advocates are now a confidential resource, which means that they will not report what you share with them to the Title XI coordinator. Advocates are available to provide support remotely and can be reached 24/7 at 414-288-5244, or during business hours at advocacy@marquette.edu. Campus advocates are available to accompany students to the hospital if needed.
