Keeping it Green: Caregiver Contact

In addition to our eNews, we have previously sent out a quarterly print newsletter known as Caregiver Contact.

Going forward, we will no longer be publishing this newsletter. This will help us be more environmentally friendly, reduce costs and get information out to you on a more timely basis.

Take Care to Give Care

November is National Family Caregivers Month and this year's theme is Take Care to Give Care.

A Caregiver is someone who assists a family member or friend with challenges resulting from illness, disability or aging.

The first rule of taking care of others: take care of yourself first. Caregiving can be a rewarding experience, but it is also physically and emotionally demanding. You really do need to “take care to give care!”

Please note that our office will be CLOSED for the holidays from Dec 25 - Jan 2, with the office reopening on January 3.   Looking for groups near you? Use our support finder to view programs and supports in your area.

In the News:
Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday is coming to Canada on November 29, 2016.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are good for the economy... now we have something good for the community!

Caregivers Alberta serves over 600,000 caregivers in our province, and charitable gift giving plays an enormous role in our work. Not only do we shine a light on caregivers, we provide them a light in often very dark times.

This year, help light the path for caregivers in Alberta by making a donation
