Medbio is pleased to announce the purchase of three new Arburg molding machines. To support our continued growth we are purchasing two electric, horizontal machines, and a two-position rotary machine. All three machines are duplicates of current presses, giving us extra capacity and redundancy. One of the electric machines will be equipped with a gantry-style robot. We will be moving our current 55-ton electric press with Arburg’s micro molding module, from its current location, to pair it up with our new 55-ton electric press to form our new implant molding cell. These two presses will be placed in our ISO class 7 clean room, with an additional modular clean room built over the platens.
Our growth in implantable components has pushed us to create a new molding cell dedicated to implants. Our top operators will continue their training and they will be dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality implants for our customers.
