Council of Europe launches Div-A-Diversity Accelerator

Div-A - Diversity Accelerator is a pilot mentoring programme launched by the Council of Europe. It is aimed at supporting media start-up ideas that promote diversity and inclusiveness in the media. The idea is to render the media landscape in Europe more balanced with regard to population diversity. The Div-A programme will include mentors who have successfully established their own independent business models using transmedia/multimedia/crossmedia platforms in their daily journalism practice and have used crowdfunding/sponsoring to build up their businesses. The mentors will be drawn from the Council of Europe’s MEDIANE network and will develop and deliver mentoring programmes as well as advise aspiring multimedia journalists who wish to launch their own start-ups.
