CIMA launches Profiles in Media Development Funding

 
The Centre for International Media Assistance (CIMA), in collaboration with the Open Society Foundation, has announced its recent resource for media development funding. ‘Profiles in Media Development’ publishes profiles on organisations to help stakeholders understand what kind of media development projects are of priority to donors. The profiles contain comprehensive donor histories and is continually updated. They are an attempt to make the media development funding landscape more transparent, searchable, and accessible.

Registrations are now open for the 2016 Jakarta World Forum for Media Development

 
Registrations are now open for the 2016 World Forum for Media Development to be held in Jakarta from September 20-22, 2016. This is GFMD’s fourth international conference to spark dialogue on the most essential issues pertinent to Media Development. It is organised in partnership with the Indonesian Press Council at Multimedia University of Nusantara in Tangerang.

                2016 Samir Kassir Award for Freedom of the Press

 
The winners of the 2016 edition of Samir Kassir Freedom of the Press Award were announced on June 2. It was awarded by the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon in association with the Samir Kassir Foundation on the 11th anniversary of the assassination of Samir Kassir, celebrated journalist and historian.
